The Dow Jones Industrial Average index has been introduced on 26 May 1896 and it has 30 components.

DJIA’s 10 year history covers the entire financial crysis and 1-2 years preceeding it. Today it is cca. 6000 points above its pre-crysis peak (20500vs. 14400) Actually it was growing rapidly since 2009, then the trend stopped for a while and it continues now.

Dow Jones’ value seems to be going up with short pauses since its lowest low in 2009. Rising trend seemed to be stopped for a while, but DJIA value started to rise again.

The NASDAQ Composite index has been introduced in 1971 at the base level 100. It has over 3,000 components.

The 10 years chart involves the financial crysis from 2008. As you can see, index value’s “growing speed” after 2008 is faster than before the crysis.

The NASDAQ Composite index has been introduced in 1971 at the base level 100. It has over 3,000 components.

NASDAQ has been growing from one peak to the other, and the trend seem to continue after a short pause. (It’s latest peak is almost 5 times higher than it lowest low in 2008.)

S&P 500’s 10 years history covers the entire financial crysis and 1-2 years preceeding it. Today it is far above its pre-crysis peak (1600 vs 2348). Actually it was rapidly growing since 2009 with short drawdawns, then it seemed to be moving sideways for a year, and now it is growing again.
